There has been a lot of buzz in the media about Minister Jason Kenney's letter to the Alberta caucus promising a one-year transitional work permit for those whose 4 year term is up.
This is promising and we are excited! However, we have not heard any official details or news of this from Citizenship or Immigration Canada, so we are unable to advise or act on this news until we hear something official from them.
But we are waiting and hoping that this will help our many clients who have AINP in the process and facing the 4-year time in Canada.
Stay tuned!
Here is the CBC article on it.

Hi,
I have arrived in Canada few days back as an immigrant, my wife was accepted in federal skilled workers category. But from last 2 days a policeman from India is threatening me of framing me in a fraud case, he even asked for money for saving me. I am very worried, can you please suggest me what should i do. Anyways, i am innocent and i even came to Canada on valid and original documents. So please help me.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear about your ordeal back home. Unfortunately, I am unable to help with this situation abroad. I would try contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada to see if they can further assist you. Thanks.
Mina
